5 bone types:

Long:
The main function of long bones is they act as a leaver. They are cylindrical shape and found in the limbs. An example of a long bone is the Humerus.
Short:
Short bones are usually equal in length and width. Their design is specified for strength and bearing weight. An example of a short bone is the Metacarpals.
Flat:
Flat bones are for protection for internal organs of the body. Foe example, The Cranium, the cranium protects the brain.
Irregular:
Irregular ones are complex individual shapes. they have more the one main function such as protection and muscle attachment.
Sesamoid:
Sesamoid bones are found in tendons and ease joint movement and resist friction and compression.
An example of a Sesamoid bone is the patella.
